Leman - the violin-maker and writer
Anatoly Ivanovich is a well known Russian violin-maker. His violins are valued highly in the world of professionals. One of his violins is exhibited in the Glinka museum of musical culture in Moscow.
Head of the "World illustration" literature department. His first stories were published in the "Observer", "History bulletin", "World illustration" and other magazines. The author of the sensational "Nobleman's story", "Book about violin", "Letters about a violin and a cello", "Violin acoustics". Also the author of the book "The theory of the billiard game".
Leman - the billiards player
At first the three-ball cannon game and the so called Russian cannon game with 5 balls were the only billiard games, popular in Russia. From the 30s of the XIX century, the "Quick Russian pyramid" game appeared. It is still considered to be the classics of the billiard sport.
Anatoly Ivanovich Leman is among the best billiard players of the past. It was he, who wrote one of the most significant books about billiard of that time "The theory of the billiard game". The book contains information on the history and technique of billiard, detailed analysis of different game combinations, suggests a number of interesting and clever ideas, and has characteristics and comparative analysis of the billiard tables, produced by the three main Russian billiard fabrics.
