The publication of the album is dedicated to the 300-year anniversary of St-Petersburg and its issues are to be presented as an official gift to the governors who will take part in the summit in St-Petersburg.
The staff of the outstanding historians and art critics, led by the state king-of-arms of Russian Federation G.V. Vilinbakhov, made their best to narrate the history of the north capital of Russia and to show attraction and grandeur of St-Petersburg.
The first copy of the President’s edition of the album «Saint- Petersburg. 1703- 2003» belongs to the Russian president Vladimir Putin. All the heads of the States and all the representatives taking part in the Summit also got copies of the President’s edition of the album "Saint- Petersburg. 1703- 2003". Among them are George Bush ( The USA), Zh. Shiraque (France), G. Shroder (Germamy) and others.
There are more than 1000 of splendid illustrations, contemporary and archival photos, painting copies, prints, lithographs and pictures in this edition, in which the preface is written by the Russian President V.V. Putin. The edition of the album meet the highest printing standards.
